Shelley is a proud Zimbabwean, who grew up with a fond appreciation for the diversity of her country. After a stint abroad, she found herself most at home in the African bush and she nurtured a career in tourism and hospitality, having the privilege of being able to live and work in some of Zimbabwe’s most beautiful wild spaces. Shelley joined Malilangwe in 2007 and has garnered experience and knowledge in the various realms of the Trust.

As a poet at heart she feel a deep sense of connection with the natural environment, its intricacies and wildlife, and as someone who cares about others she has a genuine concern for the people around her to live purposeful, healthy lives. She is a nature lover and mother, and believes that all children need mentors to encourage an understanding of the natural world, its inhabitants and how best to preserve these for future generations.
